5 RED FLAGS — CRYPTO CARD

Full transcript

Here's how to spot a bad crypto card before you sign up. Red flag one: hidden spreads—the app shows one exchange rate, but you actually pay two to three percent less value. Always check the real rate before confirming a purchase. Red flag two: vague yield terms—no minimum balance requirement clearly stated, or no unstaking timeline listed. That's a major red flag. Skip that card immediately. Red flag three: limited merchant coverage. Not all stores accept all card networks. Verify your favorite merchants and local merchants are supported before applying. Red flag four: terms buried in fine print. Chargeback protection ceilings, fraud liability limits, and daily spending maximums hide in the terms and conditions. Read every page before you apply. Red flag five: country geo-blocking. Some cards don't work in certain regions. Check the issuer's help center to confirm your location is supported.
